Prélat et écrivain français (1632-1710) remarquable par son style, fin psychologue, il doit sa notoriété littéraire à ses sermons et à ses oraisons funèbres, dont celles de Turenne (1675) et de la reine Marie-Thérèse (1683). (Acad. fr. 1673).
