Karl Paul Reinhold Niebuhr (21 juin 1892 - 1er juin 1971) est un théologien américain protestant célèbre pour ses études sur les relations entre la foi chrétienne et la réalité de la politique moderne et de la diplomatie. Il est l'un des théologiens américains majeurs du XXe siècle. Sa pensée a influencé de nombreuses personnalités politiques américaines, notamment Barack Obama.
